The pelletizing system also includes a rotating metal conveyor belt configured to enter and exit the chamber by the belt inlet and the belt outlet respectively/ The pelletizing system further includes a trough positioned outside the chamber and configured to hold a cooling fluid such that the rotating metal conveyor belt passes through the trough before entering the chamber by the belt inlet. The pelletizing system further includes a cutter assembly positioned at the material inlet for receiving the material to be pelletized and cutting the material into pellets such that the pellets formed by the cutter assembly fall through the chamber onto the metal conveyor belt.

(EN) A process for preparing a fiber reinforced thermoplastic is disclosed. The process includes melting a first thermoplastic and a second thermoplastic in a melting zone of a twin-screw processor, feeding at least one continuous fiber downstream of the melting zone into a melted mixture of the first thermoplastic and the second thermoplastic, incorporating the at least one continuous fiber into the melted mixture in a mixing zone, the mixing zone including at least one wave element having a continuous outer surface in the form of a helical wave, and obtaining the fiber reinforced thermoplastic from the twin screw processor. Further, a fiber reinforced thermoplastic composition prepared by an extrusion process the composition having a density between 1.3 g/cc to 1.7 g/cc and a flexural modulus of at least 4000 MPa is disclosed.

Abstract

A process for preparing hydrogels is disclosed. Said process comprises passing reactants comprising a monomer, an initiator and a cross-linker through a co-rotating twin screw extruder, the co-rotating twin screw extruder being operated at a screw speed of at least 200 rpm and comprising an inlet zone, an outlet zone, and in between the inlet zone and the outlet zone at least one mixing zone, at least one conveying zone and at least one back-mixing zone, wherein the back-mixing zone comprises of restricting elements which restrict the reactants from moving forward in the co-rotating twin screw extruder until a forward force sufficient to overcome the restriction is achieved, such that the co-rotating twin screw extruder provides sufficient shear energy and residence time to the reactants to (co)polymerize and produce hydrogel having a water uptake greater than 100 g/g.

The corrosion resistance of this alloy is highly enhanced in comparison with the conventional alloys.
