Processability Test+

Check Icon
Purpose

Processability tests evaluate the flow behaviour of material during various processing operations.

Check Icon
Key Test

One important test is the Melt Flow Index (MFI) (Ceat Italy), which indicates the average molecular mass and is inversely correlated with melt viscosity.

Check Icon
Importance of MFI

Understanding the MFI of a polymer is crucial for predicting and managing its processing behaviour.

Check Icon
Applications

Higher MFI polymers are typically used in injection molding, while lower MFI polymers are preferred for blow molding or extrusion processes.

Assessment

These tests help in assessing the material's suitability for various manufacturing processes.

Mechanical Test+

This is crucial for product development and production processes. It helps suppliers, manufacturers, and developers understand the capabilities and limitations of materials. Mechanical testing provides vital information about how a material behaves under various conditions, which is essential for ensuring the reliability and performance of polymer products in real-world applications.

Hardness Test
Impact Test
Impact Test
(Impactor II, Ceast, Italy)
The test is designed to give information on how a specimen of a known material will respond to a suddenly applied stress. The test ascertains whether the material is tough or brittle.
Low Temperature Impact Test
Low Temperature Impact Test
(Star Refrigerator)
The test is designed to give information on how a specimen of a known material will respond to a suddenly applied stress at lower temperature (-30°C) . The test ascertains whether the material is tough or brittle.
Universal Testing Machine
Universal Testing Machine
(5569 A, Instron, USA)
Tests tensile strength, flexural strength, tear strength, and compression strength under ambient conditions
Hardness Test
Hardness Test
(Shore A & Shore D , MadgeTech Overseas (I) Ltd)
This tests is used to evaluate the resistance of a material to permanent indentation.

Thermal Characterization+

We conduct the Heat Deflection Temperature/Vicat Softening (Ceast, Italy) test to measure a polymer’s ability to resist deformation under a specified load at elevated temperatures. Understanding the Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) is crucial for the design, engineering, and manufacturing of products that utilize thermoplastic components. A higher HDT enables quicker molding processes while ensuring the dimensional stability of the product.

Colour Matching Spectro Photometer+

(BGD556, Aadarsh-Bieuged)
Colour matching spectrophotometer is basically used to determine the value of DE, DC, DH, L, A, B and C, for all Polymer, paints and liquids in both SCI and SCE mode. This machine also measures yellowness and whiteness index for polymers, and powders. It is very much useful to check the colour consistency from batch-to-batch.

Analytical Test+

Analytical tests are commonly used to evaluate the quality and composition of various  polymers materials.

Specimen Preparation+

We utilize advanced equipment for the preparation of test specimens in accordance with ASTM and ISO standards. Our facilities include:
Injection Molding Machine
Injection Molding Machine
(L&T, India)
Used for molding thermoplastics to prepare specimens for tensile, flexural, impact, HDT, compression, flammability (0.8 mm thickness), and disc (100 mm diameter) tests.
CNC Milling Machine
CNC Milling Machine
(Minicut Vis, Ceast, Italy)
This Machine is used for specimen preparation of rigid material sheet as per ASTM and ISO standards.
Hollow Die Punch
Hollow Die Punch
(6051, Ceast, Italy)
Cuts test specimens from films and thin sheets (rubber) using steel dies. It ensures precise and uniform sample sizes for accurate testing results.
Notch Cutter
Notch Cutter
(6964, Ceast, Italy)
Creates notches for impact test specimens, ensuring precision and consistency.
Environmental Chamber
Environmental Chamber
Conditions samples to comply with ISO and ASTM standards, ensuring they are properly prepared for testing.
