Dr. Babu Padmanabhan is the IPF Personality of the Year 2017

The prestigious IPF Personality of the Year 2017 Award was conferred upon STEER Managing Director & Chief Knowledge Officer Dr. Babu Padmanabhan on December 20, 2017, at a glittering ceremony in BSE Mumbai.

The award was part of the second edition of the IPF Industrial Excellence Awards, instituted by ASAPP Info Global Group, which publishes magazines, such as, Construction World India, Manufacturing Today, Industrial Products Finder, and Infrastructure Today.

The selection was done by an expert panel of eminent jury members representing various industries. The award is in recognition of Dr. Babu’s contribution to the SME sector across the country.

Dr. Babu thanked the jury and ASAPP for selecting him for the award. He added, “I am elated to receive this prestigious award from ASAPP Info Global Group. I consider this award a recognition for the pioneering work in material processing being carried out by our organization, STEER. We have made useful contributions in polymer compounding by creating new materials, hot melt extrusion in HIV drug manufacture and food processing. This recognition has increased our responsibility to accelerate our program such as changing the pharmaceutical manufacturing technology from Quality by Testing to Quality by Design, and achieve greater social impact by contributing to eradication of Iron-deficient Anaemia. I am sure that the IPF Industrial Excellence Awards already in its second year will encourage and motivate many organisations to raise the bar for more years to come.
